Pricing questions
What people ask before they get a quote.
Honest answers about cost, timeline, payment, and what's actually included.
How much does a website actually cost in Estonia?
A custom small-business website from WebSilm typically costs between €500 and €2,500. The exact price depends on the number of pages, custom design depth, integrations (forms, booking, e-commerce), and whether you supply finished content. Estonian agency prices for comparable custom work generally range from €1,000 to €5,000 — WebSilm comes in at the lower end because we keep our overhead small and skip the account-manager layer.
Why don't you charge an upfront payment?
We've found that upfront payments don't help anyone. They make the wrong client commit and the right client hesitate. With our model you see a working demo first — real layout, real content placeholders — and decide whether to proceed. We only invoice when you approve. This filters out tire-kickers naturally and gives you zero risk to start.
What's included in the starting price of €159?
The €159 entry tier covers a single-page landing site (one section per scroll, contact form, mobile-responsive, SEO-ready meta tags, deployment to your domain, basic analytics). It is genuinely complete — no pop-ups asking you to upgrade later. Best fit: solo professionals, freelancers, single-product launches, or anyone who just needs an honest online presence quickly.
How does the €500–€2,500 mid-range work?
Most of our clients land here. This range covers a multi-page custom site (typically 4–8 pages), bespoke design tailored to your brand, content forms or booking, basic SEO setup, and 1–2 rounds of revisions. We send a fixed quote within 48 hours of our first call so the price is known before any work begins. The variation inside the range comes from page count, design depth, and integration complexity.
When does a project move into custom-quote territory (above €2,500)?
Projects exceed the standard tier when they need: heavy e-commerce (catalog, checkout, payments), custom backend logic, complex integrations (CRM, ERP, booking systems), AI-driven features, multi-language content management, or tight design-from-scratch art direction. We still quote a fixed price upfront — we just need a longer scoping conversation to write it. Typical custom projects land between €2,500 and €8,000.
Are there any hidden costs after launch?
No. The launch price covers everything we agreed on. After that, your only ongoing costs are domain renewal (€10–20/year, paid directly to the registrar — not us) and hosting (often free on Cloudflare Pages for our static sites, otherwise typically €5–20/month depending on traffic). Optional add-ons like maintenance, SEO retainers, and content updates are listed transparently and you opt in only if you want them.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. For projects above €1,000 you can split the invoice into 2 or 3 milestones (typically 50% on launch, 50% one month later, or three monthly instalments for larger work). No interest, no extra fees. Just send us a message before the quote — we add it to the contract.
How does WebSilm pricing compare to a website builder like Wix?
Wix and Squarespace are cheap to start (€10–25/month) but the real cost shows over 3+ years. Their fees scale with traffic, transaction volume, and storage; you do not own the code; switching providers means rebuilding from scratch. For a 5-year horizon a custom WebSilm site usually costs less in total — and you get faster load times, better SEO, and no platform lock-in. We are happy to walk through the maths for your specific case before you commit.
